The county consists of the towns and cities including Cumberland, Fortville, Greenfield, McCordsville, New Palestine, Shirley, Spring Lake and Wilkinson. The County seat of Hancock County is located in Greenfield.
Greenfield/Hancock County is home to the birthplace of James Whitcomb Riley, one of America’s most beloved poets and writers. Mr. Riley penned several children’s poems such as “Little Orphan Annie”, “The Raggedy Man” and “When the Frost is on the Punkin” to name a few. On October 7, 1912, Mr. Riley’s 63rd birthday was proclaimed a special observance for the poet. To this day, Riley Days is still celebrated on the first Saturday of the month of October.

If you have lost a loved one and the insurance company is denying your claim, O’Ryan Law Firm can help. Bridget O'Ryan is familiar with how the insurance industry will try to keep you from getting the benefits you need and deserve. Some insurance companies may claim that the coverage had lapsed, the death was not accidental, or that there was a change in the beneficiary. O’Ryan Law Firm utilizes forensic experts, pathologists and private investigators to prove that the insurance company's allegations are false and you are entitled to the life insurance benefits your loved one provided for your protection.
