Warwick County Indiana
Warrick County was organized in 1813 and named for Captain Jacob Warrick, an Indiana militia company commander killed in the Battle of Tippecanoe in 1811.
Warrick is one of the ten fastest growing counties in Indiana. The county is nestled along the banks of the Ohio River.
Boonville, the county seat of Warrick, was founded in 1818 and named after Jesse Boon, cousin to Daniel Boon.
President Abraham Lincoln studied law in Boonville, Indiana. When President Lincoln and his family moved from Kentucky to present-day Spencer County in 1816, their homestead was then considered to be within Boonville’s Warrick County boundaries. The future president frequently walked to Boonville to borrow books and watch local attorneys argue cases. Because of this, Boonville earned the distinction of being “where Lincoln learned the law.”Short-Term and Long-Term Disability
